When Buddy is not plugged into a power source, it can run on the integrated battery for approximately 2-3 hours, depending on how you use it.
To help your battery last longer, we recommend you do not constantly stream the video feed (if you can) as this will rapidly drain the battery of your monitor and phone. Check your video feed periodically and close the app when you can. Please plug your Buddy into a power source as soon as you can and ideally, do not allow the battery to get completely drained.
You will automatically receive battery status alerts when the battery has approximately 20% remaining (battery low), when it has only 5% remaining (battery critical) and when it is out of battery (battery empty or device offline) and can no longer be used until it has power again. You will also see a red light on your Buddy as a low battery warning. Please plug it into power as soon as possible or turn it off.
You can turn off your monitor when not in use by undocking it and holding down the tiny red button on the side for 8 seconds. To turn it back on simply slide it onto a dock or press the button once again.
Ideally, do not allow your battery to go completely flat. If your battery does get completely drained (you may see a flashing blue light), please charge it for at least 5 hours before using again.
Remember if you’re using it in the car, you can plug it into a USB socket to keep it charging while on the go.
Charging time can vary, depending on your cable...??
