Resetting Buddy

If you don't find the information you need on one of these pages, you can SEARCH in the bar above or RETURN to the HELP CENTRE here.

Turning off and on
If you want to turn your Buddy off to save battery, simply undock the monitor and press the tiny red button on the side for 8 seconds, leave it for 30 seconds and to turn Buddy back on, press it again or slide it onto a dock.

Rebooting the device
Sometimes turning your Buddy monitor off and on again will reboot it and fix many issues. See above for how to do that. Ensure it is charged or charging by connecting it to power before re-attempting your task.

Deleting the monitor
If you delete the monitor from the app while it’s nearby and on, it will be deleted from your app and it will also be unpaired (ie disconnected from the Bluetooth connection).

If you delete your monitor and it’s not nearby, it will only delete the monitor from your account. You will be able to ‘add device’ again.
If the monitor isn’t nearby (for example you sold the device), you will need to do a factory reset to completely disconnect the monitor from your account so someone else can use it, see below.

Factory reset:
If you need to unpair a monitor from your or someone else’s account or do a factory reset, for example you have purchased the monitor second hand and they did not unpair it, here’s how. Hold down the tiny red button on the side for around 30-40 seconds until you see a flashing yellow/lime green or red light, then let go. Wait for 10 seconds then turn your Buddy back on and your factory reset should be complete. You can then pair it to your app.

Where to find the serial number
If you need to contact us about your device, please include the unique serial number which is printed on a sticker on the back of your Buddy device. Please do not remove this sticker.
