Please read through all of the following instructions and our guide to safe positioning before starting the installation.
YOU WILL NEED:
- Sand (kiln-dried) – can be purchased from any DIY/hardware store.
- Tools (not provided): measuring tape, pencil and small screwdriver
- The contents of your floor stand box (see above).
Step 1: Decide where to position your Floor Stand.
It needs to be at least 90cm / 3 ft up from the top of your baby’s mattress to ensure no loose cables will be within reach of your child. The plug socket should also be at least 90cm / 3ft away from the edge of the crib. The monitor should be approximately in the centre of the long side of the crib.
Also, ensure the monitor won’t be too close to a heat source such as a radiator, as it will affect the accuracy of the room temperature sensor.
ASSEMBLY
Step 2: Fill the base with sand (we suggest kiln-dried sand), and replace the lid.
Step 3: Fit the short elbow tube in place. This can be switched around so the cable points the opposite way if you find you need to later.
Step 4: Fit the remaining tubes together to create your safe floor trunking that covers the cable until you reach the socket. Ensure this is at least 90cm/ 3ft away from the edge of the crib (not the stand). See diagram above.
Step 5: Next, assemble the vertical tubing, starting with the lower tube. Then fit the 2 retaining screws under the base, as shown.
Step 6: Fit the remaining vertical tubes following the order in which the cable is threaded.
Step 7: Thread the USB cable through the top curved tube and plug it into the dock as shown.
Step 8: Push the dock into place on the curved tube.
Step 9: Position the stand next to the crib and plug it into the power outlet, using a USB-A charger rated 5V/2A minimum.
ALWAYS FOLLOW THE SAFETY GUIDANCE HERE
Step 10: Use the ‘hook & loop’ strap to stabilise the stand against the side of the crib.
